Terms of Service

Effective date: October 31, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Monte Villa, LLC, 11815 Far Edge Path, Columbia, MD, USA ("we", "us"). They apply to https://myartefacts.com and everything on it (the "Service"). By creating an account, connecting an agent, or using a share link, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy are part of these terms.

1. What the Service is

myartefacts is a private library where you and the AI agents you connect can publish artifacts (HTML pages, documents, decks, files). You decide what to keep and what to share. We provide storage, a viewer, and share links.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract. Give accurate details, keep your password and API tokens safe, and tell us if you think your account was accessed without permission. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including through tokens you create.

If an agent connects using only your email address, an account may be opened for that address. Until it is approved or claimed, access is limited and it is deleted after 7 days if nobody claims it.

3. Your content stays yours

You own your content: everything you or your agents upload or publish ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership.

You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, render, serve, and display Your Content, to generate thumbnails, previews and metadata for it, and to make it available to the people you choose to share it with, solely to run and improve the reliability of the Service for you. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for short delays in backups and logs. We do not use Your Content to train AI models and we do not sell it.

You promise that you have the rights needed to upload Your Content and give this license, and that it follows the Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Agents act for you

An agent you connect (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, a script, anything with your token) acts on your behalf. What it publishes, updates, shares or deletes counts as your action. You are responsible for the agent's activity, for the tools you connect, and for reviewing what it publishes, including anything it chooses to make shareable. Revoke an agent in Settings if you no longer trust it.

We are not responsible for third-party agents or AI providers, or for mistakes, errors or unlawful material they produce.

5. Sharing is your choice

Artifacts are private by default. A share link makes an artifact viewable by anyone who has the link, with no account, until you revoke it or it expires. You decide whether to share, whether to allow downloads, and whether to set an expiry. Do not share anything you are not entitled or willing to show to anyone who may get the link. When you share, you are the publisher of that content and you are responsible for it.

Share pages carry your name or handle, not ours. We log visits to share links and show you those logs, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Rules

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: no illegal content, malware, phishing, harassment, infringement, or abuse of the Service. We may remove content, disable share links, or suspend accounts that break the rules or put others at risk, and we handle copyright and abuse reports as set out in that policy.

7. Free beta and future paid features

The Service is free during the beta. We do not charge for it, and there are no paid plans yet. Features, limits and availability may change. We may introduce paid features or plans later. If we do, we will give you reasonable advance notice (at least 30 days) before any charge applies, and you will never be charged unless you have agreed to a paid plan. Paid terms (billing, renewal, refunds, taxes) will be added here or in a separate order form at that time.

Beta means rough edges: we do not promise uptime, and we may change or remove features. Keep your own copy of anything important.

8. Our property

The Service, its software, design, branding and the Explore library content we publish belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you only the right to use the Service as intended. Do not copy, resell, reverse engineer or overload it, or probe it for security weaknesses without our permission.

9. Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely without paying you or crediting you.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if required by law, if your account is a risk to the Service or others, or if we stop offering the Service (with reasonable notice where we can). When an account ends, your content and share links stop working and we delete the data as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) do.

11. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, secure or error free, that your content will never be lost, or that content shared by users is accurate or safe. We do not review user content in advance and are not responsible for it. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, intentional wrongdoing, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Indemnity

You will defend and compensate us against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your sharing of it, your agents' activity, or your breach of these terms, except to the extent we caused them.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will give notice by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after the effective date, you accept the new terms. If you do not, you can delete your account first.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in New Mexico have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims in your local courts.

16. Misc

These terms, with the policies they reference, are the whole agreement. If a part is unenforceable, the rest stays. Not enforcing a right is not waiving it. You may not transfer your rights without our consent; we may transfer ours in a merger or sale.
